“Last year, the German tuner Brabus gave Mercedes-Benz S600 its special iBusiness treatment and transformed it into a high-tech office on wheels. The story gets more serious and swanky this time, with the Brabus iBusiness 3D Mercedes-Benz Viano, which made its debut at this year’s Geneva auto show. The Brabus iBusiness treatment has undeniably made the Mercedes Viano the most technologically packed van you might have seen ever. The Brabus iBusiness 3D Mercedes-Benz Viano has almost everything you would expect from a luxurious, high-tech office. Once inside, you might feel like you’re going to some special occasion inside a luxurious limousine. Brabus has created a mobile multimedia 3D cinema for the van. The back wall inside the fan holds a 40-inch Sony Bravia LED TV with 3D technology that’s connected to a digital TV receiver and a PlayStation 3. The screen can also serve as the main monitor Mac Mini, which is connected to the Internet via UMTS and HSDPA, and features wireless Wi-Fi. The Mercedes-Benz Viano is simply a 3D multimedia lounge on wheels combining custom interior design and 3D entertainment technology with gadgets like iPad, MacMini, iPhone and iPod, which control the entire on-board multimedia experience. Other lavish [...]

“Aviation giant, Airbus has unveiled its newest corporate jet cabin concept, titled Phoenix. The innovative cabin concept features striking color options and an overall design layout which is constructed specifically to appeal to the Asian market. Airbus’ unveiling of the new Phoenix concept coincides with the Asian Aerospace Expo and Congress which takes place in Hong Kong, March 8-10 2011. The Phoenix concept displays many features which are defined as being conducive to Asian lifestyle, including the addition of a main cabin, which showcases seating for up to six people, around a large circular conference room / dining table. The dual-purpose table is best utilized for conducting business discussions and/or enjoying a meal. Airbus states that its jets are capable of accommodating luxurious features such as this, due to having the widest and tallest cabins of any business jet on the market. The circular table conveniently folds down into a rectangular shape when not in use, making room for passengers to transform part of the space into an entertainment / recreation area. Airbus has designed the Phoenix cabin concept large enough to comfortably accommodate appointed space for Asian related games and activities, including Mah Jong and Karaoke. The Phoenix cabin concept, which will be available [...]

“Lollipop Designer Kim Kardashian has launched a new candy store in Las Vegas. The small party was held at the Paris Hotel in the city of gambling and the bimbo was seen with a bling-bling one million dollars lollipop decorated with 125 carats of diamonds. (after having boasted a cristal model) Involved in a car accident on the way to take a private plane to Los Angeles, the actor and producer David Arquette could not make it to the inauguration which was attended by many Beautiful People. Getting back to the lollipop named Pop Couture, a label already meaningful to Britney Spears – another designer lollipop (there are no stupid jobs), it will remain in the display window of the store in Las Vegas, which sells lollipops from $22 to $25, simply because they were designed by celebs! Gotta love sin city.” Via LeBlogLuxe

“This 25th year of tracking global wealth was one to remember. The 2011 Billionaires List breaks two records: total number of listees (1,210) and combined wealth ($4.5 trillion). This horde surpasses the gross domestic product of Germany, one of only six nations to have fewer billionaires this year. BRICs led the way: Brazil, Russia, India and China produced 108 of the 214 new names. These four nations are home to one in four members, up from one in ten five years ago. Before this year only the U.S. had ever produced more than 100 billionaires. China now has 115 and Russia 101. Atop the heap is Mexico’s Carlos Slim Helu, who added $20.5 billion to his fortune, more than any other billionaire. The telecom mogul, who gets 62% of his fortune from America Movil ( AMX – news – people ), is now worth $74 billion and has pulled far ahead of his two closest rivals. Bill Gates, No. 2, and Warren Buffett, No. 3, both added a more modest $3 billion to their piles and are now worth $56 billion and $50 billion, respectively. Gates, who now gets 70% of his fortune from investments outside of Microsoft ( MSFT [...]

“These luxury umbrellas will appeal to your over-the-top taste. They’re made by the Italian company Pasotti & they crafted by hand with the finest materials available, to create a range of totally luxurious umbrellas – because practical can also be fancy. Fine Italian fabric has been used for the umbrella, with a double cloth system stretched over the frame. It’s all held together with a silver or gold ring when the umbrella is not in use, which is far classier than the usual fabric & velcro catch. The fabric has been adorned with Swarovski crystals that have been hand-sewn onto the fabric, while the handle has matching crystals that are hand-laid into the wood. The umbrellas range from $280 to $700 in price & the company also makes stylish raincoats & hats, if that is your sort of thing. You can view Pasotti’s collection on their site.” Via BallerHouse

” A rare and highly sought-after piece of vintage Louis Vuitton luggage, the renowned “Malle Chaussures” shoe trunk from the 1920s, is being offered for sale by London’s Pullman Gallery for $68,500 in the wake of a recently published landmark work on Vuitton trunks. The trunk embodies the glamour and sophistication of a more elegant era, when such items were de rigeur for wealthy travelers. Featuring the iconic LV monogram on its canvas-upholstered frame, the trunk is fully outfitted to facilitate the most meticulous fashion plate. It contains compartments for 30 pairs of shoes in individual shoe boxes with ancillary drawers and trays for a shoe-cleaning kit. Each of the padded drawers features a leather pull tab and nameplate. At the time Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar declared the “Malle Chaussures” to be the ultimate symbol of Parisian chic and a requisite travel accessory of every truly stylish woman.
” Today Luxury car maker Rolls-Royce officially unveiled its first electric car — the 102EX Phantom Experimental Vehicle — at the Geneva Auto show. Although only a concept at this point, the car will be one of the first electric vehicles made for for the ultra-luxury segment. Rolls-Royce is hoping to test how its consumer base reacts to alternative drive-train options with the 102EX – read on for a look under the hood! The car has an aluminum spaceframe, and two 145kW electric motors that give the Phantom EX a maximum power output of 290 kW and a torque of 800 Nm (this compares quite well with the 338kW for the standard Phantom). The battery pack, which is thought to be the largest ever fitted to a road car, will be located under the long bonnet (the battery is five modules of lithium ion cells weighing 640 kg), and will give the car enough power to deliver a range of 125 miles. The batteries can be ‘quick charged’ in about eight hours, although complete charging will take about 20 hours. There’s even an option to charge the car wirelessly. The car can go from 0-60 mph in under eight seconds [...]
