“Aviation giant, Airbus has unveiled its newest corporate jet cabin concept, titled Phoenix. The innovative cabin concept features striking color options and an overall design layout which is constructed specifically to appeal to the Asian market. Airbus’ unveiling of the new Phoenix concept coincides with the Asian Aerospace Expo and Congress which takes place in Hong Kong, March 8-10 2011.
The Phoenix concept displays many features which are defined as being conducive to Asian lifestyle, including the addition of a main cabin, which showcases seating for up to six people, around a large circular conference room / dining table. The dual-purpose table is best utilized for conducting business discussions and/or enjoying a meal. Airbus states that its jets are capable of accommodating luxurious features such as this, due to having the widest and tallest cabins of any business jet on the market.
The circular table conveniently folds down into a rectangular shape when not in use, making room for passengers to transform part of the space into an entertainment / recreation area. Airbus has designed the Phoenix cabin concept large enough to comfortably accommodate appointed space for Asian related games and activities, including Mah Jong and Karaoke.
The Phoenix cabin concept, which will be available in customizable color and fabric options, is being proposed to the Chinese market featuring bold red/burgundy décor — coupled with its innovative design concept, Airbus expects to attract much interest in the fast-growing Asian private jet market.
Airbus contends that it has a strong and growing presence in the Asia-Pacific corporate jet market, winning more than 25 sales to date, most of them in China.”
